1) What is the schedule for the Challenge?

2) What are the three challenge practices about?

There are 3 optional group practice days:

Kick-Off Class (Open) Friday, March 22, 7:30-9 pm: Celebrate the Spring Equinox, and the Full Super moon  with a renewing, forward moving practice to set your intentions for the next 30 days. This is a great opportunity to meet your fellow challengers so you can support and encourage each other along the way.

Mid point Class (Centered) Friday April 12, 7:30-9:30 pm: Keep your motivation high! Share your challenges to date and receive and offer tips to keep the momentum going.

Celebration Class (Transformed) Friday April 26, 6-7 pm: This is our last class together as a group. Seal in your 30 days of practice and reflect on your intentions. This class will be followed with celebration, tea and snacks.

3) Is it mandatory that I practice yoga every day?

While the goal of the challenge is to develop a regular daily practice, it is definitely NOT mandatory to complete a physical practice every day. There are 6 extra days built in for rest and self care. It takes 21-30 days to create a new habit, this challenge is designed to help you create a healthy, new habit that has the potential for you to embrace a healthy lifestyle full of possibilities, self discovery, self awareness, and self confidence. Throughout the challenge, we encourage you to take a rest day whenever needed.

4) What if I can’t make it to class due to weather, illness, etc?

Don’t sweat it if you can’t make a day! This could be one of your rest days, or if you’re feeling motivated you could double up on another day during the challenge, perhaps following a more vigorous class with a soothing Yin or Restorative practice. As this is a personal challenge, try not to get frustrated if you get “behind”, even 17 (or 7!) classes is a success! There will be prizes and incentives along the way to help keep you motivated.

5) How do I track my classes?

There is a tracking chart posted in the studio for all challengers to keep visual count of their practice.

6) What classes do I take?

Mix it up! Try classes you wouldn’t normally attend. Get out of your comfort zone and you may be surprised at the styles of yoga you end up falling in love with. This experience will challenge your body, mind, and time management skills. Believe in yourself, you can do this!
