Restorative Yoga is gentle and profound. With the use of props, blankets and more, restorative poses are held for several minutes at a time and have an ability to leave the yogi feeling nourished and well rested as it promotes the effects of conscious relaxation. During this deep relaxation all the organs of the body benefit. Improvement in digestion, insomnia, and muscle tension may also be experienced.This class is suitable for all levels of experience.

Yoga poses that ask our muscles to move and contract are yang in nature. Yoga poses that ask our connective tissues to relax and lengthen over time are yin in nature. Yoga poses that ask nothing of our bodies except rest and healing are restorative in nature. This class brings together the perfect marriage of yin and restorative yoga with poses designed to support relaxation, deep stretching of the connective tissues, and total rest and healing of body and mind. Yin/Restorative is suitable for anyone and has benefits for everyone.
