Yoga is not a quick fix, it takes time. The benefits unfold over days, weeks and years. This requires a commitment to be present and mindful so as not to miss the deeper aspects of the practice as we gain experience. Yin Yoga offers us a way to slow the practice down and take the time needed to go deeper. Deeper into the pose, the breath, and ourselves. From this place of deep inner awareness we can witness the unfolding of the experience of the pose and learn to witness our lives from this deep inner knowing.

In Yin foundations we will introduce the fundamentals of this beautiful practice. We will focus on the big three in yoga: breath, posture and meditation. This course will give you a strong foundation to teach a great Yin Yoga class. For those not wanting to teach this course will help you develop a deep home practice tailored just for you.

Your Teachers

  • Abe Cartland has always been on the yogic path. Yoga is quite simply an ancient technology carefully designed to lead you back to yourself. In 2007 yoga in the classical sense, suddenly made sense to Abe. Since then he has studied, practiced and lived yoga with dedication and passion. Abe believes that we are in a constant state of becoming, and that we never “get it done”, it’s about the journey. Abe’s journey has lead him to study and practice with many inspiring teachers, and he brings a deep understanding of human movement, gained from over 15 years as a Personal Trainer and several yoga trainings and marries it with over 30 years of spiritual and energetic practice to create a full, well-rounded yoga class.
  • Cassie Love sees Yin Yoga as the art of surrendering, letting go, moving out of pain, explore the depths, and a practice that can be transformative to cultivate the joy of movement for life. Cassie is an experienced yoga teacher who is educated not only in yoga but also in biomechanics, psychology, emotional processing, and Restorative Exercise™.
  • Erin Bidlake has been teaching yoga since 2010 and now leads workshops and retreats internationally. A particular area of expertise is working with students with chronic pain and fatigue. Erin is committed to bringing yoga to people of all abilities. Her classes feel safe, welcoming, creative, and professional. For Erin, Yin Yoga is less a distinct style of yoga, and more an energy, or quality, that can be incorporated into any practice.

Refund Policy

Refunds are available with written notice of cancellation up to 21 days before the course begins (April 7th, 2018) less a $75 cancellation fee. No refunds will be available after April 7th, for any reason, including once the course has started.
