Yoga poses that ask our muscles to move and contract are yang in nature. Yoga poses that ask our connective tissues to relax and lengthen over time are yin in nature. Yoga poses that ask nothing of our bodies except deep rest and healing are restorative in nature.
This special 3-hour workshop will introduce a blend of gentle movement, restorative yoga poses, guided relaxation, and yoga philosophy. The tools and ancient wisdom introduced in this workshop are designed specifically to support students through chronic pain and fatigue. Students will learn poses to address the specific physical and mental challenges they are facing, how to re-create those poses at home, and how to make sense of their challenges using the ancient wisdom of yoga.
This gentle workshop is accessible to all, including those with PICC lines (unless your doctor has specified otherwise).
About your teacher Erin: Chronic pain and fatigue has been my reality for all of my adult life. Discovering yoga early on in this journey was a blessing, and in all my searching for wellness, I have never found a more accessible, adaptable, and consistent way of overcoming the physical and mental challenges on my path.
