Meherbani Kaur Desrochers graduated from the University of Ottawa with a BA in Social Communications and from the University of Waterloo with a BA in Psychology. In 2000, she was awarded a Master's in the Applied Science of Nutrition from Edison Institute of Nutrition, where she also completed her Bachelor's in nutrition.
She is first and foremost a Kundalini Yoga teacher (Levels 1 and 2) and trainer certified by the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association and the Kundalini Research Institute's Aquarian Trainer Academy. She is also a member of Yoga Alliance.
Meherbani has received her certification as a Prenatal Yoga Teacher of the Kundalini-Based Khalsa Way® and is presently training with Dr. Shanti Shanti Kaur of the Guru Ram Das Center for Medicine and Humanology for Kundalini Yoga Therapeutics - Bringing Kundalini Yoga into the Healthcare Field certification.
Living in the spirit of her name "Meherbani" meaning kindness, she breathes to serve students and others by sharing the science of Kundalini yoga with all who wish to experience it, whether in classroom or institutional settings or in daily life so they can all experience their birthright of Happiness.
Meherbani has also been offering person-centered orthomolecular health and nutrition counseling and coaching bilingual services and presenting seminars in her community for the past fifteen years. She specializes in Women's health – from the first breath to the last-, and stress management and addiction recovery. She is a long standing certified member of the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants.
