Veronique has always had a strong interest in studying the overall health of the body, mind, and soul. In 2003, she moved from Campbellton, NB to Ottawa, ON to study psychology. For the past 6 years yoga has been her greatest support in life, allowing her to step out of her head and on to her mat. Focusing on the breath has allowed Vee to realize her habitual patterns, such as holding stress in the body and the mind, and how to release the tension she carries from day to day.
With a natural desire to help, and her new desire to cultivate awareness, Vee completed 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training (2008) and Yin Yoga (2009). She continues to learn through her personal practice and is currently studying anatomy and physiology at the University of Ottawa. Her future goal is to attend the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, ON.
Veronique strongly believes yoga is for everyone. In her classes you are reminded to let go of your thoughts, ideas, and concerns. Yoga is not about how flexible you are, or can be. It is about being in the present, and letting go of what you should be doing later. The practice of yoga allows you to accept the limitations of the body and mind, and by fully inhabiting your body, mind, and soul, yoga allows you to know yourself better. Veronique believes that yoga allows you to challenge yourself and expand your limits on life.
