Megan has always has a keen interest in Yoga, Fitness, Nutrition, and Spirituality, and decided to pursue these interests more deeply by taking a Hatha Yoga Teacher Training course, which she completed in 2006. After teaching her first Sun Salutations to her class, she knew that teaching was the path she was meant to be on. Yoga and teaching has since become her passion.
Megan started her practice with Power Yoga, but has since become a practitioner of many different styles, including Yin, Hot, Jivamukti, and Kundalini; thus making her teaching style a wonderful blend of physical and spiritual. She currently focuses on teaching Power, Hatha, and Yin Yoga.
In February 2008, Megan traveled to India, where she completed another 200 hour teacher training program with Yogi Vishvektu, a prominent teacher with a Ph.D in Yoga. Since returning from India, Megan has focused on teaching in studio's and corporate setting throughout the Ottawa area, serving as a Lululemon Ambassador, and offering popular women's workshops, Journey of the Yogini.
In March, 2011, Megan completed her first Off the Mat, Into the World Leadership training with Seane Corn in Washington. Her intention has been learning how to ignite social activism in Ottawa to help support national/international women's campaigns. She is currently working closely with Care Canada and their I Am Powerful women's campaign, and she continues to study and practice with not only local teachers, but well known international teachers. She has recently completed an 800 hour Yoga Philosophy course with Georg Feuerstein.
