In Siri Karm's Kundalilni Yoga classes expect to be immersed in the healing vibrations of the Gong and mantras. In her playful and respectful style, she will gently challenge you to grow in Awareness. You'll be able to take with you time-tested yogic techniques to apply in your everyday world, well beyond the yoga mat.
Siri Karm's first experienced yoga at 15 as a teenage competitive swimmer. She did not care much for the physical part of the practice at the time, but she found the meditative aspect to be really effective in managing pre-race nerves. Fast-forwarding to 1997: many swims, distance runs, triathlons, attempts at all kinds of yoga and meditation techniques later…. Siri Karm attended her first Kundalini Yoga class at the old Rama Lotus on Somerset Street and was immediately taken by how empowering it is on all levels—mind, body and Spirit. She finds it an amazingly efficient way to bring ease and peace to the mind and the body in ways that defy logic. She also appreciates its synergy with her Buddhist studies and practices.
Siri Karm started teaching Kundalini Yoga in 1999. Since then, she has taught hundreds of classes in various settings— yoga centers, spiritual retreats, schools, sports teams, 1-on-1, and in the workplace--in English et en français aussi. She also applies yogic technology in the workplace in her role as organizational development specialist, facilitator and executive coach.
Siri Karm is grateful for the opportunity to grow and to serve thanks to the teachings of so many—the most influential being at present Yogi Bhajan, Gurucharan Singh Khalsa, Tibetan Buddhist Monk Mathieu Ricard and Nun Gyan Tara, her daughter, the Earth Goddesses gang, and always, her students.
