In light of the changing seasons - this is often when our immune systems are vulnerable to contracting an illness or common cold. A consistent yoga practice has been proven to boost immune system, organ function, and improves your general mental and physical health. We encourage you to maintain your yoga practice at the Rama Lotus Yoga Centre, as well as to keep up your home practice. However if you are not feeling well, we recommend that you do practice at home, to be mindful of the other practitioners at the studio. If you are looking for other alternatives for boosting your immune system, please visit this website which has further information to support your health.
Other ways to stay healthy and happy include eating fresh (and local if possible) produce, whole grains and soups, limited refined sugars, and staying hydrated. Regular sleeping patterns also help your body's natural ability to adapt and adjust to stresses and environmental changes. Kappalabhati pranayam is a wonderful breathing technique to boost your overall radiant health!
