This course will leave you with a deeper personal understanding of yoga and the ability to teach a safe, positive and productive yoga class. You will understand and be able to share the spirit of yoga with others.
While this course will prepare you to teach classical Hatha Yoga classes, it is not necessary to be a teacher to attend, nor even the desire to teach. Many students have attended teacher training programs to enhance their personal practice. Those who wish to teach will find a wealth of invaluable tools to share with their students for years to come.

Laurie Howe
Yoga has brought Laurie the greatest sense of joy. She is continually amazed and inspired by the changes and challenges yoga brings to her mind, body and spirit. Laurie believes that yoga should be approached with sense of adventure, patience and humour. She is dedicated to creating a fun learning environment of compassion and acceptance, encouraging her students to be fully present in their practice.

Jamine Ackert
Jamine has been a certified yoga instructor (Kripalu) since 1993. Not intending to be a yoga teacher at first, she studied yoga as a way to develop herself personally and professionally. Students find her common sense approach to yoga refreshing and appealing. In addition to teaching regularly at Rama Lotus since 2001, Jamine has led classes for a wide variety of groups such as senior police administrators, junior kindergartners and people with all sorts of physical limitations. "Anybody can do yoga!" is one of Jamine's regular exclamations.

Kat Mills
Kat's journey of practicing and teaching yoga began in 1998. She draws on her two decades of professional background in leadership, teaching and communication, and as a fitness educator, to bridge yogic philosophy with modern life. At the core of her passion is the belief that the connection of mind and body is essential towards well-being and this thread remains an integral theme in her classes and workshops. She is grateful for the ongoing teaching and guidance from esteemed teachers within the Kundalini, Ashtanga, Hatha, and Jivamukti Yoga practices. Certifications include Ashtanga teacher training with David Swenson, Hatha Raja, Kundalini and Akhanda Yoga in India with Yogi Vishvektu and Chetana Panwar. She has been fortunate to teach and co-lead yoga teacher certification programs in India and Canada. Kat's unique energy and passion is infectious; the challenges of the yoga practice are balanced through her joyful and playful approach to the process.

Abe Cartland
Abe has always been on the yogic path. Yoga is quite simply an ancient technology carefully designed to lead you back to yourself. In 2007 yoga in the classical sense, suddenly made sense to Abe. Since then he has studied, practiced and lived yoga with dedication and passion. Abe believes that we are in a constant state of becoming, and that we never "get it done", its about the journey. Abe's journey has lead him to study and practice with many inspiring teachers, and he brings a deep understanding of human movement, gained from over 10 yeas as a Personal Trainer and several yoga trainings and marries it with over 30 years of spiritual and energetic practice to create a full, well rounded yoga class.
Guest teachers will also be included in the training. These senior teachers will be offering additional experienced instruction for you to learn from and experience.
