"It makes me feel wonderful"

Margot Robinson, 42, donated a kidney to her sister in western Canada in July 2002 and found Kundalini Yoga helpful in her convalescence. "When they removed my kidney, I felt numb in my back," says Margot, "but the yoga helped me so much that I'm not as numb anymore. The anesthesia can be hard on you, but my yoga practice helped me feel healthier."

Working odd hours as a hair stylist, Margot makes a point of going in for Kundalini Yoga classes Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday mornings. She had been practicing yoga up until the operation, and after a long time recovering, turned to Kundalini Yoga a few months after her kidney was removed. "I'm addicted to Kundalini Yoga now," says Margot. "It makes me feel so wonderful."

"It really sets up my day so beautifully," she says. "Everybody can do Kundalini Yoga. You don't have to be a cerrtain size or age or have a certain skill. You can do it to your own best ability. The yoga helped me feel better, so that I eat better, and I take care of myself better."

Margot even brought three friends in for a Kundalini Yoga class, and often tells her clients to try it too. "I tell people that they have to have an open mind, and that they should go in once and try it. The people who have gone and tried it have all really liked it."

"And I tell people that they will leave on a spiritual high. While I'm not a religious person, I do feel that I've always been a spiritual person, and the Kundalini Yoga has helped me focus on the kind of life I want and on my participation as a human being here on earth. It makes me feel more whole. It makes me feel at peace. And it makes me feel good."

"I really feel like I found something," adds Margot.
